This is the time of year that our in boxes are full of too many holiday party evites and invites. Holiday cheer turns to holiday exhaustion. However, there was one invite that I received from my friend Gina Pell that I could not ignore. This was for tonight's benefit for Darfur refugees, a crisis that in my opinion has been ignored for far too long.
Tonight's event, hosted by Care Through Action is their first annual event to benefit refugees from Darfur. CTA was started by a group of local folks that were feeling helpless about the Darfur crisis. CTA hopes to bring global change through local action. Proceeds from the event will benefit the World Food Program.
