We're lucky to have so many worthy organizations, fantastic arts and original entertainment here and since we can't list all of the great events every day, we have links to all of the other sites in the Bay Area that each have a few events listed for most days.
Today is just one example of what a Saturday in the Bay Area can offer and here are some of the great activities and events going on (note: we couldn't possibly include them all, especially all of the exhibits that are ending today) including chocolate tasting, a film festival, school auctions, a plethora of black tie bashes, a miniature dollhouse designer showcase, and fusion theatre.

International Museum of Women Annual Gala: "Women, Power and Politics", held at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in Union Square, 335 Powell Street, beginning at 6pm. Black tie or formal cultural attire.
The Little Jim Club 56th Annual Mardi Gras Ball, the oldest black-tie ball in San Francisco, along with the Reveler's Club after party, held at the St. Regis Hotel, 125 3rd Street from 6:30pm.
Camp Okizu is holding their 14th annual "Art Inspiring Hope" gala themed "A World of Fire and Ice", at Fort Mason's Herbst Pavilion, 5-11pm.

The California Shakespeare Theater is holding their 14th annual gala: "Passage to India" at Oakland's Rotunda Building, black tie with cocktail reception, live and silent auctions, entertainment and a formal dinner, from 6-11pm.

"The Power of Love" for the Family Service Agency of San Mateo County - a benefit dinner via The Hillsborough Auxiliary with a concert featuring music by Huey Lewis and the News, Electronic Arts Headquarters, 250 Shoreline Drive, 6:00pm.
21st Annual "Denim to Diamonds" gala for the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford, held at the Tech Museum in San Jose with dinner, dancing, live and silent auction and casino-style gaming, starting at 6:30pm.
Jeremy Laing Fall Trunk Show at The Grocery Store, 311 Primrose, Burlingame.
Stanford Lively Arts & Bing Nursery School present a free family performance of Stravinsky's "The Firebird" by the 90 piece Stanford Symphony Orchestra with puppeteers and a storyteller, 2:30-3:30pm in Dinkelspiel Auditorium on the Stanford Campus.
