Some people say San Francisco has no style, but Ezra Miranda is out to prove them wrong. Miranda and journalist Jackson Boren are the shutterbug and scribe behind Golden Gauge, a popular San Francisco fashion photo blog.
Wardrobe Consultant at Ralph Lauren by day and fashion photo blogger by night, Miranda searches the streets of our city snapping shots of anyone who is well dressed and expresses individual style. "I look for people who care about what they're wearing," says Miranda. "People who have paid attention to the details." Like ties and pocket squares accessorizing men and color coordinated outfits on women. " I notice men in particular are on top of their game and I want other cities to see that."
Golden Gauge lets the photos speak for themselves with little commentary other than a brief introduction to the stylish person and where the photo was taken. Occasionally Boren will write a paragraph or two explaining what it was about the person that stood out.
In addition to photo blogging and his job at Ralph Lauren, Miranda is working with three other fashionable gentlemen on a new men's clothing line called J.Elquist. Watch for their debut in spring '09. In the meantime, check out Golden Gauge - maybe you're on it!
