Tess and Carlos, Boston

I am spending time on the other coast, in one of my favorite cities, Boston. Like San Francisco, Boston has it's own sense of style. I used to think all of Boston wore Lilly Pulitzer. While I do see more pink and green, I also see many sharply dressed folks.

I was in Cambridge, which is similar to Berkeley. There is a shop there, that I wish we had in the Bay Area.
Tess is like a clothing museum. I was surprised to find such a high end shop amongst the eclectic mix in Harvard Square. Brands such as Narcisco Rodriguez, Vivienne Westwood, Ports and Tse hang gracefully from the racks. You can find Majestic cotton t-shirts from France. ($95.00 and up. ) I fell in love with an organza dress from Ports. ($895.) The dress would be a great investment piece, and perfect for many events.

After browsing through this elegant shop, I made my way across the street to the Gap. There I purchased some $19.99 sale dresses for my beach vacation. That Ports dress is still calling to me !
