No matter where I travel, I shop. I buy all of the guide books, check out the Lucky Magazine guides, and of course ask locals. I am always in search of the independent boutiques. A new web portal for shopaholics like myself has emerged. StoreAdore lists boutiques suggested by local writers. The site currently lists shops in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Washington. I was relieved to see that they will include our fair city of San Francisco, as well as Chicago, Philadelphia and Miami in June.
I like to check out independent boutiques too, and have been using a site called BrandHabit. It not only has local bay area boutiques (it's based here), but also boutiques from all over the country. You can search for your favorite brands, however obscure, to find out where you can get them. It also has featured local designers like Dutchy handbags. Overall I think BrandHabit is really good.

Store Adore is a fantastic resource for passionate shoppers to find and share insights and information. As both a practical resource and an online shopping community, Store Adore is a place where shoppers can discover new stores, or find out what's new with their long-time favorites!
