Tasty Hearts

Like artichoke hearts? Well then, I have a find for you! Monterey Farms produces the best artichoke hearts ever, called Artihearts. I discovered them when I ordered a Hearts Salad at Jack London's Pub in Carmel. Among the greens and hearts of palm were these scrumptious grilled artichoke hearts, firm and fresh and full of flavor, not oily and soft like we're used to. On our way home, my partner and I stopped by Monterey Farms in Sand City and met the proprietor, Jane Shaffer. She started her business in 2000 and offers vacuum-sealed packages of Grilled Artihearts (with that distinctive grill flavor), Buffalo (super spicy like buffalo wings), Herb, and Natural.  These are great for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike.
