2009 is a big year for the San Francisco Zoo: It's their 80th birthday and the stork has made two deliveries - baby giraffe Niklas and baby gorilla Hasani. To celebrate and to kick-off the upcoming ZooFest for Kids annual fundraiser on June 5th, animal-lovin' fashionistas showed up at Juicy Couture last Tuesday evening in downtown San Francisco.
Juicy Couture, who BTW recently vowed to go fur-free (we like that!), was all decked out for the VIP party with a bar serving Pearl Vodka martinis and allergy-safe sweet treats from Let Them Eat Cake. The evening was organized by SF Zoo Auxiliary Co-chairs Mireille Schwartz, Cecilia Fisher, and Charley Zeches. Ms. Schwartz says in planning the event she was inspired by her daughter's love of the zoo, "Seeing the zoo through her eyes gave me the idea to do something different, special, over-the-top this year with ZooFest for Kids."

The big roar of the evening was the debut of Juicy Couture's latest must-have - a kids only leopard print hoodie, as modeled here by Juicy fans Anais and Charlotte Jude.
Goin' wild in vintage - Jennifer Raiser and Betsy White.
