The world is a scary place, and new technology has made it even scarier. Not only do we need to worry about drunk drivers on the road but there’s a whole new breed of irresponsible drivers – those who drive while texting.
Luckily, an easy way to bring awareness to this new epidemic (you know you know at least one friend who’s texted and driven, don’t lie) is with fashion. Hey, people check out what everyone else is wearing, so what better way to prove a point?
Express has partnered with RADD (Recording artists, Actors and Athletes Against Drunk Driving) for a campaign against driving while texting to make the roads safer. Graphic tees with the message “Hit the road.
Txt L8R” will be sold exclusively at Express this fall, and a bevy of young Hollywood stars will be modeling the tees and promoting the campaign, including singers Ciara and Jesse McCartney. A print campaign will debut in the August issue of Elle and they’ve even filmed a PSA – watch it at Express.com and take an “I will not text and drive” oath to get a voucher for a free tee with any jeans purchase.
